The founding fathers of OCF are Klaus-Peter Kossakowski (Germany), Mirosław Maj (Poland) and Don Stikvoort (The Netherlands) – they donated the start-up costs and thus ensured that the OCF could begin its lifecycle financially secure.
All three are pioneers of Internet/cyber security in Europe and their own countries, and also contribute on a global scale. Kossakowski and Stikvoort started the cooperation of “CSIRTs” (incident response teams) in Europe back in 1993.
